Description

Discover a reliable partner for sports, training, and safe play – the KATSUDO Original training mat tatami is a professional tatami flooring used not only by athletes in dojo, karate, or boxing, but also by schools, children's or rehabilitation centers. Thanks to the practical tatami puzzle system, the mats are easy to assemble, adapt to the space, and provide a safe, hygienic, and visually clear surface.

Who the mats are suitable for:

🥋 Training spaces for karate, judo, aikido, taekwondo, boxing
Tatami floors are an integral part of martial arts. They are used as cushioning substrates in dojos, gyms, or sports halls. In judo and aikido, they cushion falls and rolls, while in taekwondo or karate, they provide a safe surface for kicks, stances, and quick movements. Their color division allows for creating competition zones and boundaries directly according to federation rules.

🏋️ Sports clubs, gyms, and home gyms
In clubs, tatami serves as a durable, easy-to-maintain, and flexible floor for various types of movement – from fitness training through cross-training to stretching or yoga zones. In home conditions, you can assemble a temporary training corner from them, which you can easily disassemble and store after exercise. They ensure stability underfoot and protect the floor from damage.

🏫 Schools, kindergartens, and children's playrooms
In educational facilities, tatami is used as a safe base for games, physical activities, and children's relaxation. In kindergartens, teachers lay them out as a play zone where children can roll, build, or read without the risk of injury. In schools, they serve as a temporary gymnastics area, a base under equipment, or even as quiet zones for relaxation. The tatami puzzle system allows for quick assembly and storage.

🧘 Play, therapeutic, and relaxation zones
In centers for therapy, sensory stimulation, or rehabilitation, tatami is used as a soft and hygienic base for various activities – from positioning clients, through fine motor games to physiotherapeutic exercises. They are also used in meditation or relaxation rooms as a pleasant insulating layer on the ground. In playrooms or at festivals, you will appreciate them as mobile "softening" for children and adults.

The mats are double-sided, color-differentiated (e.g., blue/red, blue/yellow, black/gray) and available in various patterns and thicknesses. No matter if you choose a different color or pattern – if you stick to the same thickness, thanks to the precisely cut interlocking system, the pieces will always fit together.

💡 Note when assembling and disassembling: If you frequently change the layout of the mats after training, we recommend disassembling them carefully – lift and separate in the direction of the locks. This will prevent damage to the connecting teeth.
